USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
- Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, AEC Institute of Education is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).
- Your personal information (including the personal information contained on this enrolment form and your training activity data) may be used or disclosed by AEC Institute of Education for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. AEC Institute of Education may disclose your personal information for these purposes to third parties, including, Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies, NCVER, Organisations conducting student surveys, Researchers.
- Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for Issuing a VET Statement of Attainment or VET Qualification, and populating Authenticated VET Transcripts,
- facilitating statistics and research relating to education,
- understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information,
- Administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.
- You may receive an NCVER student survey which may be administered by an NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor. You may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.
- NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au).
- The December 2020 National VET Data Policy is a revised policy that came into effect from 1 January 2021. OVERSEAS STUDENT HEALTH COVER (OSHC)
International students are required by the Australian Government to join a private health insurance scheme.
You will need to pay the OSHC premium for the duration of your course at the same time as the tuition fees as OSHC must be paid before a student visa is issued. The OSHC entitles you to free hospital cover and 85% of standard doctor’s fees. AEC Institute can arrange this cover for you through NIB. For more information about OSHC see

NOTIFICATION OF ADDRESS
Upon arriving in Australia you are required to advise the Institute of your residential address and telephone number and of any subsequent changes to your residential address. Student need to inform PIE upon change of their Australian contact details within 7 days. That theses changes include, mailing address, email address(s), phone and mobile number. The student agrees to provide their Australian contact details to PIE upon request and understands that this request will be made at least once every 6 months whilst the applicant is enrolled in a corse at AEC Institute of Education (AEC).
